The importance of Bird Rotterdam

#Events
Slowly but steady Rotterdam is acknowledging it’s fortune with a club like Bird. 2016 is already starting out wonderful with a lineup of the finest music curators available in Europe, carefully selected by our own Rotterdam-based tastemaker Guido van Dieren. We’re really looking forward to these evenings, getting surprised and inspired by new and pure music is one of the best things around. We’ve selected three mixes of these influencers, just to get warmed up for a few long nights under the arches of Bird.

LEFTO
Every Sunday evening, you just need to tune in into Studio Brussel to finish the last hours of the weekend with a weekly musical summary of this busy Belgian DJ. We do so for years, and we can highly recommend you do so too! Lefto is a pure genius in collecting all kind of new gems from around the world, and he’s playing upcoming Saturday the 22nd of January live and direct in Bird.

GILLES PETERSON
Saturday, Gilles-day; spinns new tunes on BBC Radio 6. This mix is a guest appearance on NTS Radio in which he brings a beautiful annual overview, with the necessary explanations. It’s always pleasant to have summed up the year by this good old radiomaker. Just wait and see what he will come up with on Saturday January 30th.

KUTMAH
Easily our favorite DJ, and we are not alone. During his first performance in Rotterdam two years ago, he turned Bird upside down with a killer set of 2.5 hours. So now we are eagerly looking forward to Friday the 5th of February. In his last Sketchbook series of the year he takes you on a musical journey, from White Boiz to Jonwayne and back around.
