TARONA (born Tarona Leonora, 1985).
A person, photographer and self proclaimed citizen of the world – based in Rotterdam.
Her photographic work has an aesthetic that hints to her love for cinematography and she often refers to her photographs as ‘stills’. Within these stills she explores subjects such as spaces, anonymity, isolation and time.
Growing up with a father that always played music around the house, and with a mother that loved movies – her childhood was filled with two aspects that would later prove to be of great impact and that are still powerfully present on a daily basis. They have a great influence on her life, her work and her ambitions.
